The good thing about these old lenses is the soft focus ring and the manual aperture. Although the focus is not as crisp as in modern lenses, it seldom matters when filming due to the moving images and relatively small image size.

New lens
Bought my self a new lens to use when filming. It's a Nikkor-S 50mm f/1.4. I used an adapter ring to fit it on my Canon 7D. This lens Nikon was manufacturing these lenses as early as 1969.
The good thing about these old lenses is the soft focus ring and the manual aperture. Although the focus is not as crisp as in modern lenses, it seldom matters when filming due to the moving images and relatively small image size.
